Job Summary

This position is an Administrative Assistant Senior for the Department of Admissions and Bed Coordination Center.

Responsibilities*

  • Payroll and timekeeping – processing, staff questions, etc.
  • Schedule
  • Leave of absence – coordination
  • Onboarding/Offboarding – keys, pagers, access, arrange training
  • Tuition support
  • HR - hiriing, termination, retirement, FMLA, etc.
  • Concur Travel expense report processing
  • Support Manager and Supervisors of the RN Case Managers
  • Microsoft Outlook e-mail group management
  • Maintain personnel records, including blue folders, for the unit
  • Candidate will be responsible for other projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant business experience in an administrative capacity is required.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant office experience is also required.
  • The candidate must have strong administrative assistant skills and be proficient in advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Must exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment and should be capable of analyzing complex information requests.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Knowledge of University policies and systems such as One Staff, OutLook, Wolverine Access.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, to be accurate, thorough and timely in completion of work.
  • Computer skills to accomplish work efficiently and in a timely way, including word processing and data entry. 
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively and work independently. 
  • Ability to type 40 - 60 wpm with accuracy.
  • Familiarity with medical and/or behavioral health terminology is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Nursing contract would be helpful

Work Schedule

The schedule for this position is 40 hours Monday through Friday.
