Job Summary

The Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology is seeking a full time Research Lab Tech Intermediate to support research in Dr. Rainey’s laboratory.

Responsibilities*

The candidate will design and conduct experiments. Major experimental methods will include molecular biology, histology, cell culture, and some mouse research. The job will include carrying a pager that would require collection of specimens from the university hospital and processing them for research use. Although it will be rare, the ability to work evenings or weekends on experiments would be required.
 
Candidate will train users in equipment operation and laboratory techniques, including explaining and demonstrating technology and equipment operations and may act as a liaison with other departments, programs or organizations for acquiring data and sharing information related to the research project.
 

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree, with 1-3 years’ experience in molecular biology and/or cell culture.

Work Schedule

weekdays 9am-6pm with some evenings and weekend days
