Perform assigned duties in phlebotomy in order to assure accurate and timely collection and processing of patient specimens. Provide total customer focus to meet the needs of every customer, internal and external, including medical staff, laboratory staff and patients and families. Collect specimens using phlebotomy standard operating procedures for adult patient population, including patient identification, specimen labeling and transporting. Comply with safety standards of practice and observe safe work practices. Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Considerable experience in phlebotomy desired. Demonstrated experience working in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment.
This 32 hour position is on the midnight shift.
