The RITMO project (https://ritmo.engin.umich.edu) at the University of Michigan invites applications for post-doctoral positions in data science and mobility. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in large-scale and stochastic optimization, high-performance computing, and strong programming skills. Applicants with expertise in mechanism design are also welcome. RITMO is looking for researchers who will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary group of faculty, post-doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students, software engineers, and transportation professionals. Successful candidates will work with the research team on fundamental research topics and their implementation in actual mobility systems.
Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in computer science or industrial and operations engineering, strong programming skills (including in C++), and significant optimization expertise (including mathematical programming, constraint programming, approximation algorithms, and stochastic optimization), as well as high-performance computing.
