Admit, transfer and discharge patients in the Women's Birth Center. Receive and assist patients, visitors and staff providing excellent customer service. Answer patients calls in a professional manner. Process physician's order and referrals. Respond to emergent situations in a calm, correct and professional manner. Record and coordinate patient appointments and tests. Procure supplies, equipment and services for patients. Maintain census information.
Considerable knowledge of medical terminology. Customer service experience necessary. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Multitasking ability essential. Ability to work with many details with accuracy. Data entry or computer experience necessary.
Previous experience as an inpatient clerk in a medical setting desired.
Part time, midnight shift, will require working weekends and holidays. 6 weeks of full time training is required with 3 weeks of the training occuring on the day shift.
