Job Summary

The Bottino Research Group at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry  has available a Postdoctoral Research fellowship focused in Regenerative Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell/molecular biology applied to bone and vascular tissue engineering research. Expertise in stem cell research and 3D Bioprinting is necessary. Solid knowledge in the design and scaffold fabrication is a plus. Additionally, the ideal scientist is expected to have excellent communication/writing skills in English, and to be a team player, who appreciates working closely and collaboratively with others in the group. The successful candidate is anticipated to collaborate in various related projects. 
The person hired for this position will perform various scientific, engineering, and laboratory support functions on a regenerative dentistry research program (PI: Dr. Marco C. Bottino). Duties may include scaffold/biomaterials synthesis, mechanical testing, cell culture, microbiological-based assays. Role will involve significant responsibility and require high performance, with need for strong skills in organizing, designing, performing and monitoring of experiments, writing testing protocols and reports, as well as data acquisition and collection. Daily direction will be provided by the PI (Dr. Marco C. Bottino).

Required Qualifications*

Recent Ph.D. in cell/molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field with a track record of publications in tissue engineering.

Excellent communication skills, excellent attention to detail, excellent abilty to multitask, excellent organizational skills, and excellent attendance record.

This position is for the School of Dentistry located at 1011 N. University Ave.
