Pediatric physical therapist position is available to provide outpatient care at University of Michigan Pediatric Rehabilitation Center. Come join our multidisciplinary team working with other disciplines including OT, SLP and TR. Therapist needs to be comfortable working in a team environment. Therapist will be responsible to evaluate and treat infants, children, adolescents, and teenagers with a variety of neurological and orthopedic disorders and disabilities. Therapist needs to be proficient at using Peabody, GMFM, BOT2 and other pediatric tests. Therapist also needs to be proficient at Kinesiotape and rigid tape techniques. Serial cast experience is required. Precise experience working with the pediatric neurologic population is necessary. APTA Specialty Board Certification in Pediatrics (PCS) is preferred. Previous Pediatric experience in Pediatric Pelvic floor or Adult pelvic floor evaluation and intervention is preferred.
Therapist will provide direct patient care utilizing treatment designed to restore and maximize performance using appropriate pediatric exercises and modalities. Therapist will be involved in helping to develop pediatric programs in conjunction with other disciplines and with the hospital clinic.
Completion of an accredited pediatric Physical Therapy residency is strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree is necessary. Satisfactory completion of an internship is necessary. Demonstrated proficiency with pediatric evaluation and treatment is necessary. Possession of a current state license to practice physical therapy in Michigan is necessary. Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric physical therapy is necessary and 3 years is recommended.
This position can be underfilled with a candidate that does not yet have possession of a current State license to practice physical therapy in Michigan
Monday through Thursday: 7am - 7pm.
Friday: 7am - 5:30pm
Candidates must have the ability to work these hours.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
