Monitors and maintains accurate records of on-hand and on-order quantities of medical devices for the Health System’s centrally distributed inventory. Provides information to determine status of current orders and to forecast needs for future orders. Compiles records of amount, type, and value of material or stock on hand. Monitors reorder points, and initiates action to replenish, change, or modify stock levels. Works with vendors, warehouse staff, and other internal departments to reconciles discrepancies in inventory system. Resolve match exceptions for pricing, quantity and contract discrepancies. Data analysis and metrics. Problem solving through Lean principles and continuous improvement.
Notifies supervisor of irregularities and initiates corrective action using standard processes. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of inventories and computes inventory balances, prices and costs.
Creates or modifies purchase orders as needed based on review of upstream supply availability. Communicates with multiple teams to address backorders and other disruptions in the supply stream to ensure adequate supplies of inventory to support patient care demand. Responsibilities and tasks may be non-routine and require ability to prioritize multiple requests while maintaining stock levels within required timelines.
- Minimum Associates degree and 3-5 years of progressive inventory control experience.
- Strong written and verbal skills a must.
- Ability to navigate through software appropriate for inventory management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Detail oriented with demonstrated commitment to timely and meaningful communications with customers and partners.
- Understanding of forecasting methods and techniques related to inventory management.
- Must work well in a team setting and have the skills to prioritize work load.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory operations.
- Works well in a team setting.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
