Job Summary

The University of Michigan-Flint’s Department of Art and Art History seeks a part-time, Lecturer I in Design, beginning January 2018.  Responsibilities include teaching at least two design courses for Fall 2017 from a possible range of courses to include ART 321, Image and Motion and ART 347, Motion Graphics. The appointment is for the Winter semester only, but is potentially renewable based on department need.  Minimum salary for this position is $3,413 per course section.

Required Qualifications*

Minimum qualifications include a M.A. or MFA in Art with coursework in Design.  Ability to teach a range of courses including 2-D Design, Design II, Motion Graphics and Image and Motion. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated vision, enthusiasm, and leadership are essential. 

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
