In order to be considered for this position, candidates must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled at the University of Michigan-Flint. Students with work study funds would be preferred but is not mandatory. Candidates must attach a cover letter as the first page of the resume. The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline skills and experience that directly relate to the positon. Candidates should include a class schedule and hours of availability for work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: (1) Coordinate calendars and schedule meetings and appointments. (2) Develop, organize and disseminate marketing, publicity, outreach and related materials. (3) Perform data entry including cleaning and coding. (4) Transcribe, edit, copy and collate documents. (5) Organize and maintain files. (6) Work effectively with other students, clinicians, and faculty
Current student in good academic standing at the University of Michigan. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail. Good professional writing and communication skills. Reliable person with the ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner with appropriate supervision. Available for at least 5 hours between 8 am and 5 pm throughout the traditional work week (Monday-Friday) for ongoing, time sensitive support activities. Travel to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor may be required.
Previous experience with data entry. Familiarity with the logistics of cleaning and recoding data. Must flourish in an environment that is highly flexible, collaborative, and requires a high degree of self-motivation. Experience working or volunteering in a clinical setting and/or working with data file management preferred.
