Under general direction of faculty, senior research personnel, and/or managers, responsible for the operation of a specialized survey/clinical research area within a recognized unit. Helps develop, design and conduct research projects according to plan.
Consults with users to refine or adapt methodologies to fit specific research requirements, collaborates in development of new techniques and develops instruments.
Trains users in techniques, explains and demonstrates instrument capabilities, operations, limitations and outcomes.
Develops coding systems. Records research procedures and data. Determines interview procedures and conducts interviews.
Collects, screens and participates in data analysis.
Conducts literature reviews and may contribute to or is sole author of articles and grant proposals.
Has oversight for day-to-day operation of project. May supervise research support personnel and manage budget. Protocol submission and revsion (IRB). Recruits and enrolls research participants . Coordinates patient reimbursement.

Primary activities and decision makiing authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree.
Candidates are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.
Master's Degree preferred.
1 - 3 years related experience required.
Candidates may require supervisory and budget administration experience.
This is a term-limited, part-time position (20 hours/week). Schedule to be negotiated.
This term-limited position is subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance to be reviewed annually. Initial term of position is for one year to be extended based on availability of funding.
This position is currently part-time, but has the possibility of being increased to full time if additional funding is secured.
This is a term-limited appointment. At the end of the stated term, the appointment will terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction in Force (RIF) benefits.
