University of Michigan – Department of Mathematics
Pending approval, the University of Michigan’s Department of Mathematics is initiating a search for anticipated appointments at the tenure-track assistant, associate, or professor levels. These will be university-year appointments beginning September 1, 2018. All ranks are encouraged to apply. Candidates should hold a PhD in Mathematics or a related field (e.g. Statistics); have extraordinary credentials in any area of pure, applied, computational or interdisciplinary mathematics; and show outstanding promise and/or accomplishments in both research and teaching. We have particular interest in a candidate in Financial Mathematics. Salaries are competitive and are based on credentials. Junior candidates should furnish a placement dossier consisting of a letter of application, curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation; senior candidates should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae and names of three references.
