This is a notification of a full time (40 hour position), Clinical Social Worker in the Department of Psychiatry, in Child and Adolescent Ambulatory Psychiatry at the Rachel Upjohn Building. This appointment is a full time clinical position. Duties will include providing direct billable clinical work in evaluating and treating child/adolescent psychiatric disorders, participation on a multi-disciplinary outpatient team, and participation in the education and training of students. Clinical population includes youth ages 3 – 18 with disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, or ASD.
Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education is necessary. Must have current clinical license to practice social work in the State of Michigan. Clinical practice concentration and field practicum or recent work experience in a hospital required. Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification
Applicants should have advanced evidence based psychotherapy training comprising supervised clinical experience using this modality for 6 or more months. Applicants with full licensure, psychotherapy training, and semi-structured instrument reliability will be considered the most qualified. Although this position is primarily clinical, applicants should have the knowledge base and experience to participate in the education and training of students and staff from social work and other disciplines.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
