The Dus, Shafer, Collins, and Kuwada labs in LSA Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology are seeking a detail oriented research associate to prepare laboratory media for fruit flies. The successful candidate must be conscientious, responsible and highly organized with excellent communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail is required for this position. This temporary position will be approximately 20 hours per week.
The successful applicant will prepare food for fruit flies used in the three labs, and be responsible to store the food, order the ingredients to make it, and to clean the equipment used to prepare the food.
High school diploma, reliability, attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field of study. Previous experience with preparing lab media is desired but not required.
