Teach jazz piano to undergraduate and Masters’ level jazz majors and qualified students in other curricula within the School of Music, Theatre & Dance; recruit students of high caliber; maintain national and international recognition as performer and teacher; participate in faculty governance responsibilities. Other teaching duties to include combo coaching, graduate improvisation and possible coursework in Jazz History, Jazz Theory, Jazz Composition or other areas in accordance with candidate’s interest and expertise.
Thorough knowledge of jazz repertoire and improvisation pedagogy; sustained and distinguished professional
record as a performer and teacher.
