Job Summary

We are seeking to enhance our faculty by adding several positions for optometrists to join our team of our providers in a dynamic and creative academic environment.  Proficiency in both contact lens fitting as well as primary eye care is required.  Specific positions in pediatric and adult populations are being sought.  This position is based in our main campus and several satellite locations.  Applicants must be willing to work in more than one office setting.

Responsibilities*

Responsibilities include providing optometric primary care with a specialty in contact lens fitting.  The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to patient care and be able to work independently and efficiently while possessing superb communication skills.  Teaching duties include supervising medical students, house officers and fellows rotating throught the clinic.

Required Qualifications*

O.D. degree, Qualified candidates should have a Michigan Optometry and Controlled Substance licenses, and a Federal DEA license. Evidence of clinical competence and competence in clinical and didactic teaching is expected.
