Estimated salary for position is $1,960 for teaching two lab sections. 

The LEO faculty member teaching PTP 729: Musculoskeletal Practice: Upper Quadrant Integration will be responsible for assisting the primary instructor in conducting labs and administering practical exams for this course.  The expertise of the LEO faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to the application of advanced examination and interventions designed to treat patients with complex orthopedic disorders related to the upper quadrant.  Preference is for one person to assist in all labs but assignment to an individual lab may be considered.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters wtih respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

Required Qualifications*

  1. Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or equivalent) professional PT program.
  2. Bachelor’s degree required.
  3. Licensed or regulated in a U.S. jurisdiction as a physical therapist.
  4. One year of teaching experience or one year of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy or relevant content area.
  5. Contemporary expertise in the application of advanced examination and interventions designed to treat patients with complex orthopedic and disorders related to the upper quadrant.
  6. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and student evaluation.

Desired Qualifications*


  1. Master's degree of higher preferred.
  2. Member of APTA preferred.
