Position will be responsible for the post-award activities, administratively assist the Research Manager and serve as back up for the pre-award coordinator.
The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an experienced Contract and Grant Specialist to manage post-award activity in the department. This position will be responsible for setting up new project, sub project/grants, budgets allocations and contracts; starting process of PARs; monitoring payroll and expenses and meet with or provide PIs reports and recommendations on a monthly or bimonthly basis; receive and respond to questions from faculty and research staff regarding policies and procedures both internally and from sponsors; prepare and review financial reports and RPPRS including FSRs; close out of projects; assist Research Manager with projects and reports; assist and serve as back up for the Pre-Award Coordinator.
Proven attention to detail, knowledge of UM systems and procedures used in post award including eresearch, Mreports, and other UM reporting tools. Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently. Strong excel skills and the ability to create, maintain and analyze reports. Bachelor degree or equivalent plus 2-3 years related experience.
