Responding knowledgeably to inquiries from people walking into the Department of Africana Studies and helping students connect to appropriate resources. Greeting and servicing customers at the front counter and on the phone; process mail, faxes, forms and requests; producing and posting flyers, assist co-workers with filing, typing and copying duties. Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates should have motivation and initiative to work independently and with minimal supervision. Prior experience in an office setting is a plus. Preference will be given to students who can make at least a one-year commitment beginning Fall of 2017.
