Responsibilities*

Provision of Support to Project Leads:   work under the principal investigator(s) in decision making; provide support as a liaison with other university departments and external research personnel and partners; provide support in representing the department in discussions/negotiations with university officials and outside agencies; oversee Research Associates in research-related planning and processes.

Grant and Budget Management Functions:  Notify project leads of changes in grant associated regulations and their effects on cost reimbursements and financial operations; track expenditures for all grant related spending and oversee all post award activities.

Logistical Planning and Implementation of project Initiatives Identity and resolve compliance issues related to the university and sponsor requirements; organize project related meetings/conferences; coordinate activities among study collaboratives and participating EMS agencies.

Research-related Functions:  support in preparation of reports, presentation and manuscripts; coordinate with PI to organize/disseminate study findings; may provide supporti n performing qualitative interviews and conducing an online survey, performing data management and entry as needed.

Required Qualifications*

  • Two  to three years of progressively responsible administrative and/or project coordinator/management experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree required  
  • This individual should have an interest in issues of health care quality and outcomes assessment 
  • Personal commitment to high quality work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both oral and written in the English language
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to be resourceful
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efforts
  • Ability to work both as part of a team an individually while meeting deadlines

Desired Qualifications*

3-5 years of progressively responsible administrative and/or project coordinator/management experience preferred
