Seeking a post-doctoral researcher with interest in cancer stem cell research to begin work in early 2018. Our preclinical work is focused on therapeutic targeting of cancer stem cells in breast cancer, with specific interest in inflammation and DNA repair. Studies are conducted using breast cancer cell lines and patient-derived cells both in vitro and in murine models.
An M.D. and/or Ph.D. in a biological science discipline is required. Candidates are expected to conduct research independently under the supervision of the PI, including independently planning, designing, and completing research studies. Applicants must be fluent in spoken and written English, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to prepare initial drafts of scientific manuscripts.
Experience with mice, proficiency in cellular/molecular biology techniques, and a solid background in molecular biology/biochemistry, tumor biology and/or immunology are preferred.
