The Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology is seeking a fulltime Research Lab Tech Intermediate to support research in Dr. Rainey’s laboratory.
Candidate will collect and analyze data and conduct experimental tests and procedures. Major experimental methods will include molecular biology, histology and cell culture. The job will include carrying a pager that would require collection of specimens from the university hospital and processing them for research use. The ability to occasionally work evenings or weekends on experiments would be required.
Candidate will train users in equipment operation and laboratory techniques. Explains and demonstrates technology and equipment capabilities, operations limitations and outcomes. Candidate will coordinate work with lab assistants, entry level research staff, and other support personnel.
Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences with 0-3 years of research experience.
Research experience in molecular biology and cell culture.
