Responsibilities*

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a wide variety of technical lab support, individually and/or together with other research personnel. 

Performing experimental procedures including protein isolation, western blot, histology, fluorescent imaging, cell culture (cell lines), flow cytometry, quantitative RT-PCR. The person should maintain detailed records of all experiments and data. Working with small laboratory animals (mice) is optimal but not required. Strong organizational skills are necessary.

Data analysis and interpretation; maintenance of experimental protocols (working with the PI and other lab staff in both).

Maintain lab supplies and coordinate general lab maintenance with the PI or other lab staff.

Required Qualifications*

The applicant is expected to have a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and 1-2 years of experience. The applicant must be confident, honest, a team-player, have a positive outlook, and be self-motivated to conduct experiments by themselves as well as work with other lab members and the PI.  Willingness and ability to acquire new skills.  Excellent ability to multitask, excellent organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. 

Desired Qualifications*

Previous laboratory research experience is a plus.
