The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is the newest University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The brand new 2-story facility is located at 7500 Challis Rd. Brighton, MI. Responsibilities*

You will provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence based treatment, designed to restore and maximize performance, using indicated pediatric interventions, in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.

Required Qualifications*

What are the required qualifications?

  • Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy or higher
  • Current Michigan Occupational Therapist License
  • Registered member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy – NBCOT

Desired Qualifications*

What are the preferred qualifications?

  • Minimum of 1-year pediatric rehabilitation (occupational therapy) experience in a medical setting
  • Experience with the following standardized measurement tools:
    • Peabody
    • GMFM
    • BOT-2
  • Experience with any or all of the following across the pediatric continuum

    • Splinting
    • Feeding
    • Casting
    • Sensory Integration
    • Neurologic and Genetic diagnoses
    • Developmental diagnoses
    • Orthopedic diagnoses
  • Clinical research experience

Work Schedule

This is a fulltime, 40 hour per week position. Clinic hours of operation are Monday through Friday, Facility Hours are Monday- Friday 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and Saturdays 7AM – 12:30 PM. Saturdays would not be required for this position, but applicants must have availability to work within the hours of operation Monday-Friday.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
