As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Michigan Medicine, you will provide medically based outpatient care for infants through young adults with a wide variety of diagnoses including neurological, feeding, developmental, orthopedic, and sensory processing. Our Pediatric OT’s are a collaborative, dedicated group who work in coordination with a multidisciplinary team including: PT, SLP, TR, and PMR Physicians, among others, to provide highly specialized care to patients and their families. You will provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence based treatment, designed to restore and maximize performance, using indicated pediatric interventions, in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.
What are the required qualifications?
- Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy or higher
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapist License
- Registered member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy – NBCOT
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Minimum of 1-year pediatric rehabilitation (occupational therapy) experience in a medical setting
- Experience with the following standardized measurement tools:
Experience with any or all of the following across the pediatric continuum
- Sensory Integration
- Neurologic and Genetic diagnoses
- Developmental diagnoses
- Orthopedic diagnoses
- Clinical research experience
This is a fulltime, 40 hour per week position. Clinic hours of operation are Monday through Friday, Facility Hours are Monday- Friday 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and Saturdays 7AM – 12:30 PM. Saturdays would not be required for this position, but applicants must have availability to work within the hours of operation Monday-Friday.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
