Job Summary

The OBGYN department of Michigan Medicine seeks an experienced, certified Ultrasound Technician to perform gynecologic ultrasounds, including assessment of pelvic anatomy, ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers and sonohysterograms, as well as early first trimester obstetric ultrasounds for community based clinical research projects. The Ultrasound Technician will serve as an integral member of a large research team.  This is a grant funded position.  

Required Qualifications*

Graduation from an ultrasonographic training program.  Must have at least one-year experience in gynecology ultrasounds. Must be ARRT and ARDMS accredited and must have outstanding communication and teamwork skills. Must be organized, efficient, and have the ability to triage among multiple pending tasks. Must have documented excellent attendance record. Must be interested in community health research and health disparities.

Work Schedule

This is a 30 hour per week position with Saturday morning coverage for procedures. 

Work Locations

This position will be based administratively at 1500 E. Medical Center Drive in UH-South but the scans will be performed at a community based clinics throughout southwest Michigan.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
