Required Qualifications*

  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.
  • Registration or eligibility to be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

    Physical Requirements

  • Mental/visual ability to operate complex computer equipment, with precision and attention to detail and ability to visually concentrate and focus for varying periods of time on individual patient images
  • Physical ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for an entire workday (up to 80% of the time with frequent breaks)
  • Strength sufieient to:  lift some patients, move heavy equipment on wheels (up to approximately 500 lbs), and to move patients in wheelchairs and stretchers.

Work Schedule

Days - Monday thru Friday and 1 shift every other Saturday.
 
This is a rotating position at various locations to include any of the following shifts: Days/evenings/nights/weekends

What skills would you master?

  • You’ll develop a keen eye for reviewing ultrasound examinations to assess the quality and completeness of imaging.
  • Working with Radiology faculty, you'll help develop, implement and/or assist in maintaining advanced ultrasound protocols and techniques.
  • You will have the opportunity to become an expert in producing ultrasound images with top-tier technology.

Background Screening
