The Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine Division of Oral Medicine, Pathology and Radiology University of Michigan School of Dentistry invites qualified applicants and nominations for a Clinical?Track position at the Clinical Assistant/Clinical Associate Professor level in Oral Medicine/Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
We seek an individual with a strong commitment to predoctoral and graduate clinical education, scholarship and service, and patient care. Candidates should have a D.D.S. or D.M.D. and the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan. A State of Michigan limited academic dental license may be available for qualified candidates. Advanced training in Oral Medicine or Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology is desired. Board certification or eligibility in Oral Medicine or Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology is preferred. The Department seeks individuals with demonstrated excellence in both clinical and didactic teaching, a commitment to dental education and service, evidence of scholarly activity. Experience in providing care to oral medicine patients is required.
Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction of dental students, dental hygiene students and graduate students/residents, scholarly activity and service. The department has an active mentorship program and will provide opportunities for clinical practice and the development of independent and/or collaborative research programs. Salary and level of academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position is posted as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the clinical track. The rank and salary of the selected candidate will depend upon the qualifications and credentials.
