Teach acting and directing in a conservatory-style training program, direct plays, advise students, recruit students of high caliber.  Maintain national professional profile.  Participate in faculty governance, attend faculty and departmental meetings, and serve on faculty and University committees as appropriate.  

RANK:  Assistant / Associate professor, Tenure-Track.  Post Available January 1, 2019 or September 2019 


Required Qualifications*

MFA in Theatre, or other degree in a Performance Area. Minimum of four (4) years teaching acting at the University level. A strong background in a range of acting techniques to bring to the performance of classical and contemporary material, a willingness to collaborate on a team of faculty with varied approaches and a proven ability to teach acting and directing. Documentation of teaching experience, including workshops and master classes presented, or appointments as guest artists or directors at institutions of higher learning and / or professional theatres. Ability to teach vocal technique is desirable but not necessary.
