Job Summary

The Education Department at the University of Michigan-Flint is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Educational Technology to work with an innovative and energetic inter-disciplinary faculty. We desire a collegial, creative team player well positioned to lead the Master of Education in Educational Technology degree program with the opportunity to create additional certificate, minor and major degree programs while working collaboratively within the recently redesigned Elementary Education program

Required Qualifications*

Earned doctorate in educational technology or closely related field; experience within the profession of educational technology including previous experience in the P-12 environment; experience teaching online courses; ability to maintain an active agenda of scholarly activity and research leading to publication; knowledge of issues of multiculturalism, diversity, and equity; and an interest in school partnerships and community initiatives.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Demonstrated commitment to the educational aspirations of diverse students
  • Experience designing curriculum at the programmatic level
  • Experience designing and teaching online courses in educational technology
  • Experience advising students at the graduate and post-master's degree levels
