Teach acting and stage combat in a conservatory-style training program.  Teach courses in unarmed and armed stage combat for BFA theatre majors, as well as acting classes in modern realism and/or classical theatre.  Act as fight choreographer on productions, advise students, and recruit students of high caliber.  Maintain national professional profile. Participate in faculty governance, attend faculty and departmental meetings, and serve on faculty and university committees as appropriate.

Required Qualifications*

MFA in Theatre or other degree in a performance area. Professional movement credentials with SAFD (Society of American Fight Directors). Demonstrated ability to teach acting and stage combat at the university level.  This position requires an innovative and collaborative artist with national credits.  A strong background in a range of acting techniques to bring to the performance of classical and contemporary material, specialized fight training in film, television, and/or stage, a willingness to collaborate on a team of faculty with varied approaches, and a proven ability to teach stage combat and acting.
