Provide nursing care in multiple Internal Medicine Specialty clinics in Taubman Center.
Provide telephone triage, patient teaching, direct patient care, documentation with follow-up and coordination with ancillary services and related departments.
Provide functional supervision to allied health staff.
Assist with patient flow as necessary and appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely files of patients.
Work with the physicians to develop and carry out clinical standards of care for various patient diagnoses.

Rheumatology, Infectious Disease (including Overseas Immunization and HIV/AIDS), Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Pulmonary (including Dyspnea and Vent clinic).

Current Licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
Minimum two (2) years (within last 5 years) experience with a diverse adult specialty medical patient population
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as, interpersonal skills as evidenced by interviews, recent performance appraisals and reference feedback.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, problem solve, delegate effectively and to work with minimal supervision as evidenced by recent performance appraisals and reference feedback.
Demonstrated computer proficiency.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills in the provision of clinical care to patients.

Three (3) years recent experience (within the last 5 years) in an ambulatory care setting
Two (2) years (within last 5 years) experience with electronic lab monitoring for patients on immunosuppressive medications.
Experience with IV infusion ordering and monitoring.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Days, Monday through Friday, flexibility required
