The brand new 2-story facility is located at 7500 Challis in Brighton, MI. As a Reading Room Coordinator with the Michigan Medicine’s Breast Imaging Team, you will use a variety of clinical and clerical skills. You’ll work as a liaison between patients and physicians while maintaining and managing the Reading Room where Ultrasound and MRI images are viewed. What skills would you utilize?
You'll become skilled in accurately identifying and archiving radiological images which will allow you to identify and code cases, request images from outside clinics, and prepare cases for interpretation.
You’ll facilitate communication between Radiologists and technologists.
You’ll also select appropriate cases to hang/prepare for conferences and review.
Our Reading Room Coordinators are deeply dynamic, flexible and dependable. We work with highly acute patients are prepared to respond appropriately at all times.
Our Main Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center and sees a great variety of critical care patients. We experience a high intensity patient flow and need to remain compassionate and calm in stressful situations.
What are the qualifications?
High school diploma
At least 2 years in a health care setting
To set yourself apart from the pack, exemplify your determination to be a flexible team member passionate about the patient and willing to learn.
Ability to push, pull, and lift 25 lbs.
Ability to be in stationary position (sitting or standing) up to 80% of the time.
Days with the flexibility to accommodate evenings, rotating weekends.
