Estimated salary for position is $2,520 for teaching as the primary instructor. 

The LEO faculty member teaching PTP 770: Assistive Technology to Enhance Accessibility will be responsible for conducting lectures and labs, creating and administering assignments, written and practical exams, and assigning grades for this course.  The expertise of the LEO faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to accessibility standards and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in conjunction with assistive technology predominately used to enhance accessibility in multiple environments.  

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters wtih respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

Required Qualifications*

  1. Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or equivalent) professional Physical Therapy program.
  2. Bachelor’s degree required.
  3. Licensed or regulated in a U.S. jurisdiction as a physical therapist.
  4. Three years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy or relevant content area.
  5. Contemporary expertise in accessibility standards and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in conjunction wiith assistive technology predominately used to enhance assessibility in multiple environments.
  6. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and student evaluation.

Desired Qualifications*

  1. Master’s degree or higher preferred.
  2. Member of APTA preferred.
