Perform hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis testing in a busy, high-volume, and complex medical laboratory. Analyze, correlate, and interpret test results to validate accurate patient results, and perform manual tests to clarify and confirm abnormal results. Recognize problems and follow up appropriately. Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures. Perform instrument maintenance and trouble-shooting. Perform lab- and hospital-designated competency assessments. Adhere to established laboratory procedures and policies. Participate in the continuous improvement process and continuing education for lab personnel. Midnight shift.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science + 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist performing body fluid manual and automated counts, body fluid and peripheral blood differentials.
