We are seeking an Orthoptist for our growing Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Service.
The selected candidate will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of visual defects by administering orthoptic and pleoptic tests. They will also teach patients how to develop and use binocular vision, position, instruct and direct patients during treatment and therapy. Additional duties include the operation and coordination of the maintenance of orthoptic equipment.
Completion of an accredited training center program is required as well as Certification by the American Orthoptic Council.
Strong teamwork abilities, willingness to work in varied locations in and around Ann Arbor, MI, able to promote our guiding principles to both patients and co-workers.
3 years of work experience as an orthoptist. Previous experience using EHR is highly desirable.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
