Pilot study to assess feasibilty of using smartphone retinal cameras with 5 minutes in the dark dialation
This 2 to 3 week assignment will involve a pilot study to examine whether student researchers can take retinal photos without pharmacological dialation of eyes. It will also involve interviewing pilot study participants about demographics, health status and nutritional intake. This data will then inform a grant application for a larger study.
Research Assistant Duties:
Assist in preparation of study materials
Train in taking eye photos with the PEEK Vision retinal camera.
Interview study participants
Enter and analyze data
Other administrative tasks as needed
UM Flint student ONLY
Experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS or R)
Proficient in using WORD to Create tables
Experience in interviewing study participants
Experience working with older populations
