Pre- and post-operative audiologic management of adult and pediatric cochlear implant recipients, including audiometric testing, speech perception testing, coordination of care with other professionals, programming and verification of hearing aids, programming of cochlear implant devices, troubleshooting of equipment, evaluation of patient performance, and maintenance of clinical records.
The position may also involve participation in the design, development, and implementation of clinical and research protocols and presentation or publication of research findings. Opportunities exist for participation in lectures, workshops, and in-services to professionals throughout the state of Michigan.
- Master’s or AuD degree in Audiology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current licensure as an Audiologist from the State of Michigan is required.
Experience working with cochlear implants manufactured by Advanced Bionics, MedEl, and Cochlear Americas. Recent experience with hearing aid programming, verification, and fitting. Experience working with pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients is desired.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
