Job Summary

The Pharmacy Services Department is tasked with supporting the administrative, financial, human resources and 340b compliance for the Pharmacy Department at Michigan Medicine. Our team is currently seeking two temporary pharmacy interns to support the Pharmacy Services 340b processes. The total commitment will be 32-40 hours per week for 12 weeks.


  • 340b program related manual qualifications, and self audits. This will include researching pharmacy dispenses/administrations to see if insurance, provider, location fall within Michigan Medicine’s patient definition
  • Assist in drug mapping and pack size conversions
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly meetings as required.

Required Qualifications*

  •  Eligible for employment in Michigan.
  •  Must hold a valid Michigan Pharmacy Intern license.
  •  Must be able to perform all of the Duties and Responsibilities
  •  Prioritize with accuracy and dependability
  •  Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  •  Effectively communicate with pharmacy team members, other healthcare professionals, employees, patients and visitors
  •  Ability to meet all of the above qualifications and requirements with or without reasonable accommodation

Desired Qualifications*

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern.

Work Schedule

This is a temporary position within the Pharmacy Administration team. Our team is located off site from the Hospital’s main campus, at 2301 Commonwealth Road, Ann Arbor, MI with free parking. The commitment will be limited to a total of 32-40 hours per week for 12 weeks. Work schedule to meet the expected weekly hours is flexible.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
