Job Summary

BlueLink, a multimedia project serving curricula of the University of Michigan Division of Anatomical Sciences, Department of Surgery is seeking to hire an experienced videographer for the development and production of anatomy videos and films. The videographer will work closely with a project coordinator and principal investigators (PIs). The videographer will provide administrative and project management support for the project workgroup, and is expected to develop and implement a successful plan for a large-scale addition of films and videos to the project. The videographer reports directly to the PIs.

 

This is a term-limited, full time, 12-to-24-month appointment, with possibility of extension. At the end of the stated term, the appointment may terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction in Force (RIF) benefits.  Work will be onsite at the University of Michigan Medical School. 

Responsibilities*

  • With consultation with anatomy faculty, develop and produce anatomy videos, micro- & mini-documentaries
  • Participate in a creative workgroup with a collegial atmosphere to develop electronic learning tools for learners with a diversity of backgrounds and educational experiences
  • Assist in the daily operations of anatomical specimen curation and lab setup, as needed
  • Other duties as arising

Required Qualifications*

  • Previous video & film development and production
  • Camera work (we have a Sony A7 Mark II)
  • Lighting work
  • Post-production work
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple assignments
  • High proficiency in either Office or Google Docs

Desired Qualifications*

  • Knowledge of human anatomy, or a desire to learn
  • Experience with photography and Photoshop appreciated
