To provide nursing care to patients and families of the Pediatric Neurology Division.
Provide support to the pediatric neurology medical faculty.
Telephone triage will be the primary function and will include: triage calls from patients, families, clinicians and other healthcare team members.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all team members to improve patient outcomes. Active participation in quality improvement initiatives.  
Candidate must be able to function with minimal supervision and be highly motivated to provide excellent care and patient advocacy.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C (B INC).
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Required Qualifications*

Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.  
Minimum of three (3) years pediatric nursing experience (within the last five years)
Ambulatory care experience required. Phone triage experience required.
Demonstrated excellent critical thinking skills relative to assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation 
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to problem solve in a collaborative manner  
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.  
Demonstrated experience with computer keyboarding

Work Schedule

Hours:  40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, Start time to be determined upon hire
Location:  C&W Mott Children’s Hospital
Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
