Job Summary

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking applications for a LEO Lecturer Intermittent for the course HPS 403 – Medical Information Systems for the 2018 Fall semester. This course focuses on how information is created, stored, and used in health care settings. The course also includes some hands-on computer applications instruction to familiarize students with commonly used software platforms utilized in health care administration. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting all instructional duties of the course, including teaching, development of assignments, grading, and maintaining communications with students using the Canvas Learning Management System. This course is cross-listed at the graduate level with HPS 503.

Class Time(s): Mondays 6:00pm – 8:45pm from September 5th – December 11th, 2018 

The position is for Fall 2018, but future teaching assignments for this course may be available consistent with the LEO collective bargaining agreement and departmental need. 

Desired Qualifications*

Candidates should have a master’s degree and/or an earned doctorate in health informatics, health administration, public health, or other health and human services discipline.  Experience with and a commitment to undergraduate instruction is highly valued.
