Responsibilities*

Applicants should have a strong interest in developing a top-tier, independent research program to further our understanding of the pathogenesis of melanoma or non-melanoma skin cancer. The successful applicant will have access to abundant clinical material and translational research opportunities through interaction with outstanding teams of cutaneous surgeons, dermatopathologists, medical oncologists, and others engaged in the multidisciplinary care of skin cancer patients. Duties also include teaching fellows, medical students, and house officers in laboratory and didactic settings.  The position is available in the University of Michigan Department of Dermatology and Rogel Cancer Center. 

Required Qualifications*

Applicants should possess an MD, PhD, or an MD/PhD. Evidence of scholarly aptitude is required, including acquisition of external funding, a track record of high-quality publications, presentations at national and international meetings, and competence in laboratory and didactic teaching.

Underfill Statement

This position is posted as a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Rank of selected candidate is dependent upon qualifications.
