This position will focus on pediatric, inpatient nutrition care in the Nutrition Services department of C.S. Mott Children's and VonVoightlander Women's Center.
This position will provide comprehensive nutrition services to a variety of medical and surgical patients by performing nutrition assessments and developing nutrition care plans using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process, providing recommendations for nutrtion intervention, conducting nutrition education, precepting dietetic interns and students and displaying a high level of customer service, attentiveness and consideration to patient care while providing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy.
- Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bacherlor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics OR must be RDN Eligible and have completed supervised practice program/internship prior to start date.
- Must have some experience with pediatric inpatient medical nutrition therapy including nutrition support therapy.
Hours: 40 hours per week (5 days per week)
Shift/Days: 8 hours per day (hours may vary)
