Salary: Full-time equivalent rate of $29,000 annually. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
Provide academic and administrative services that include interpreting information for students, faculty, staff and academic units in the area of evaluation and transferability of credit including AP, IB, dual enrollment, and study abroad programs. The responsibilities include establishing an unofficial academic record and posting credits, processing incoming undergraduate student applications for transfers, cross-campus, special, non-degree and guest students; providing pre-evaluation for courses taken out of residence at accredited institution or through Study Abroad programs following establish unit guidelines.
The staff maintains credit evaluation materials, course equivalencies for the LS&A website and assist in training programs for new staff.
Support and participate in special projects and programs as assigned to ensure efficient use of time and resources as well as providing exceptional customer service.
45% Evaluate and post credits with regards to department and unit rules and regulations. Process transfer, cross campus, non-degree and guest applications. Print unofficial credit record.
25% Code and update transfer applications.
10% Maintain and update materials used for evaluations.
10% Respond to staff and/or student inquiries.
5% Assist with staff training and procedure changes and updates.
5% Special tasks and projects as assigned.
Associates degree, equivalent hours or better. Must earn a math score of at least 70% and demonstrate data entry experience with 40-45 wpm accurate keyboarding skills. Excel and Microsoft Word experience; Previous data entry experience; demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact with public in an effective manner with sometimes complex/sensitive data; collaborative work style with ability to work with a diverse population. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team; flexible and detail oriented.
Bachelor’s degree, equivalent hours or better in a business or education related field. Familiarity with University policies and procedures; M-Pathways, Excel and Microsoft Word experience; Previous data entry experience; demonstrated written and verbal communications skills; demonstrated ability to interact with students, faculty and staff in a calm, effective manner with sometimes complex/sensitive data; collaborative work style with ability to work with a diverse population.
