How to Apply
Interested applicants should send a current CV that includes a list of peer-reviewed publications and names of three references to Dr. Dawen Cai at email@example.com
A postdoctoral research fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dawen Cai in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology, Biophysics and Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The Cai lab develops novel technologies for genetic manipulation, neural circuit mapping, lineage tracing, imaging and single cell profiling. Using Drosophila and mouse models, the long-term goals of the Cai lab include 1) defining neuronal and circuitry components of brain functions at the single cell resolution, and 2) illuminating the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing neuronal differentiation and circuit formation in the central nervous system.
To explore neural circuit functions in behaving mouse, the successful applicant will integrate several of the Cai lab’s novel technologies to perform correlative mapping of neural activity, identity and connectivity in the whole animal brain at single cell resolution. The successful applicant will also work in a multidisciplinary setting with scientists and engineers in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, microfluidics, microscopy, and computer vision.
