How to Apply

The University of Michigan-Flint Physical Therapy Department is seeking an application for a Lecturer I as a laboratory instructor to assist the primary lecturer and primary lab instructor in PTP 611 Kinesiology and Applied Anatomy.  Preference is for one person to assist in all labs, but assignment to an individual lab may be considered.

The LEO faculty member will be responsible for assisting the primary lecturer and primary lab instructor in conducting labs for this course and administering practical exams.  The expertise of the LEO faculty member will be utilized in meeting course objectives for modules related to the understanding of gross anatomy and biomechanics to achieve a clinically based understanding of human movement.  

Required Qualifications*

Estimated salary for position if $3,920 for teaching two lab sections.

  1. Graduate of a CAPTE accredited (or its equivalent) professional PT program.
  2. Licensed or regulated as a physical therapist in a US jurisdiction.
  3. Bachelor's degree required.
  4. 12 months of clinical experience and contemporary expertise in the application of gross anatomy and biomechanics to achieve a clinically based understanding of human movement.

This Position is subject to the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employees Organization (LEO) AFT/MFT and SRP Local 6244, AFL/CIO.

Desired Qualifications*

DPT degree is preferred.

Member of APTA preferred.
