Responsibilities*

Minimum salary for this position is $4,750.00 per course section.  The University of Michigan – Flint invites applications for a part-time faculty position at the Lecturer I level for the period of September 4 through December 18, 2018.  The position entails teaching a 3-credit course, CSC 365 Computer Architecture. The most recently adopted textbook is  “Computer Systems: A Programmer’s Perspective” by Randal Bryant and David O’Hallaron, Second Edition.  The course is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm. The budget for this position is for the Fall 2018 term only.

Required Qualifications*

Prospective candidates should minimally possess a graduate degree in Computer Science or other closely related field with a doctorate degree preferred.  

Desired Qualifications*

Relevant work and teaching experience is desirable.  

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
