How to Apply

Please submit a cover letter explaining your past experience as a backend developer. As part of the interview, you may be asked to take on a screening task. 

Responsibilities*

A research group at the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor is seeking a full-time software developer to assist in implementing and maintaining the backend for a research project. Hours of work are flexible. 

Required Qualifications*

- A B.Sc. degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related fields

- Fluency and Experience in Linux-based software development

- Fluency in Python and Java

- Basic familiarity and experience with Web-based technologies

- Fluency in data structures and algorithm (at an undergraduate level)

- Familiarity with basic database concepts

Desired Qualifications*

3+ year of experience working as a full-time software developer

Additional Information

Compensation

An hourly rate of $35-$45/hr (based on experience) + health benefits (assuming a minimum of 30 hours a week)

Time Commitment

30-40 hours a week.

Initially, a 3-month appointment, which may be renewed according to funding and performance.
