The Business Systems Analyst Senior will serve as an internal consultant to the admission offices regarding utilizing the Technolutions Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in the operations of recruitment and the admission review processes of freshmen and transfer applicants to the University of Michigan.
This position will serve as the functional expert for the implementation, utilization, and maintenance of Slate CRM across the Office of Enrollment Management (OEM). Immediate efforts will be in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (OUA), working primarily with the leadership team to incorporate the software's diverse feature set into OUA’s student recruitment and admissions practices with a focus on maximizing user-system effectiveness in pursuit of achieving enrollment goals. This position will also be responsible for ensuring proper ongoing CRM software enhancement and development across other OEM units.
Serves as functional expert for Slate's ongoing maintenance and utilization.
As an internal consultant, be an expert on the Slate software's functionality and utilize knowledge of the system, as well as knowledge of undergraduate recruitment and admission practices to influence business workflow and office operating processes (such as travel, file review, event management, querying, reporting, communications) and practices in order to influence the office's maximum and optimal usage of the tool's functionality and the achievement of the undergraduate admission enrollment metrics and goals.
Leads the maintenance and continuous development of the Slate Reader process (including bin structure, bin movement automation, review forms, and other workflow automations) and documentation for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions/OEM units.
Collaborates with the Senior Associate Director for Processes & Training to ensure staff are provided ongoing training for both current and future Slate processes, focusing on maximizing the knowledge and abilities of the end user within Slate.
Serves as a coordinator for all program and access changes in the Undergraduate Admissions Slate environment. This position will work in-conjunction with the Solution Architect and the OUA management team to ensure appropriate permissions, prompts, applications, forms, communications, and review processes are updated to reflect any changes in process.
Leads the exploration, recommendation, selection, implementation and training of undergraduate admission technology-related programs/products/software. For example, exploring options to replace existing RightNow technology, Access programs, as well as products that may enhance current technology/software used for imaging documents and workflow processes.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in enrollment management or admissions, including direct experience in technology/operations or student recruitment.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications.
Demonstrated commitment and ability to maintain compliance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures in order to ensure consistency.
Ability to clearly and effectively convey complex information to individuals or groups of people of varying experience levels.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to exercise good judgment while working collegially in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Ability to work well in a diverse and collaborative environment
Direct experience with the Technolutions Slate CRM strongly preferred.
Prior professional experience with Oracle Campus Solutions architecture and PeopleSoft applications.
Strong project management experience. Ability to track multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines with frequently changing priorities.
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), html, and other web technologies.

This position reports to the Assistant Vice Provost for Enrollment Planning and Technology with daily direction provided by the Senior Associate Director for Processes and Training in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position will also collaborate with the OEM Solution Architect to complete CRM platform management tasks and manage utilization.
