The Department of Pathology is seeking a PhD Research Investigator to join the faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The specific area of research that this position will facilitate is the characterization of critical cancer genes as potential therapeutic targets and biomarkers. The position will actively pursue advances in the early detection and treatment of various types of cancer and other diseases.  Applicants should be experienced in experimental design, development, and scientific writing, as well as publishing and presenting results.  Opportunity for teaching students, lab personnel and fellows in a laboratory setting.

Required Qualifications*

This position requires PhD or MD/PhD as well as a strong background in molecular biology or chemistry, 3-5 years postdoctoral experience and an excellent publication track record in scientific peer-reviewed journals.
